How is Indonesian cuisine different to other Asian food? Indonesian food is closest to Malaysian, but with some key differences. For example, we use candlenuts, Javanese salam leaves and kluwek in our dishes. Indonesian cuisine has also been influenced by many other countries as it was once a major trade market before it was colonized by the Dutch.
Do you use MSG in your dishes? No, we always do our best to avoid using unnecessary chemicals by making our dishes from scratch. However, if you have any allergies or dietary requirements, we recommend that you inform a member of staff.
Do you cater to food allergies and dietary requirements? Yes. Our chef, Yayu, is always finding ways to substitute common allergy provoking foods with other ingredients so that everyone can enjoy our food. We do our best to label any ingredients on our menu likely to cause an allergic reaction, however, we recommend that you inform a member of staff if you are allergic to anything just to be safe.
